For the benefit of my DW and LJ readers, etc., to whom I am xposting this:

Friendica at https://free-haven.org now has twitter and facebook connections, meaning you can post from free-haven.org to twitter and facebook, plus you can follow and interact with facebook contacts in friendica. You can follow twitter contacts, too.

Yay! The import of FB contacts went without a hitch (I feel obliged to do it as a beta tester ;) But now it appears I have to go through the list of friends one by one and to click "ignore" on every friend I have on FB just for games (well, at least I hope it does what I think it does - removes their activity from my stream) AND to add all the game names played by my friends I don't want to ignore, which is difficult with this small text input area (guess I need a browser plugin for text area resizing) but it's annoying anyway because the list of games grows every day, and there are all those applications (GetGlue, FourSquare) people insist to use... :(

(you'd say one should choose better friends? ;) :(

In unrelated news, don't know if you got my PM on friendica (maybe I sent it to the "other" Tony), I added tags support to ljpost connector, and figured that you're the best person to contact about it, being the author of the plugin: here's the diff, how do I submit it? Can do the same for dwpost if this one is accepted, except that you add "friendica" tag unconditionally, I'm not sure that it's what everyone wants. (It's possible to add a list of tags to be added unconditionally for each site.) (I can also add meta-data support, like icons and stuff, but I figured that tags are more important)

Heh, yes and no - it was pretty obvious but took me a while... :( At first, I just wrote a regexp to find the words prefixed with hash in the $post, which worked fine on my test examples but didn't work at all with the actual posts (was not finding any tags). So after adding extensive logging, I discovered that the tags are already converted to links when the text arrives to ljpost. Then it occurred to me that maybe tags are stored somewhere together with the text, seeing that $b is a structure with all kinds of other metadata, so I just printed out all the keys/values, and indeed, the tags were there :)

Oh, I imagine that would be rather annoying if I'll bug you to copy/paste every little update ;) Thanks for the tip, I'll try the github thing! But does somebody check and approve the updates, especially submitted by newbies/strangers?
