My breakfast today consisted of a Lilly's Almond/Dark Chocolate bar (no sugar added),
and some Alive & Radiant Original Kale Krunch kale chips,
and Honest Tea Assam Black Tea
I had to get to an appointment early, pedalling my Fuji, and didn't have time to make breakfast at home (overslept), so purchased my breakfast from the local hippy grocers, Edge of the Woods Market
.
Not a bad breakfast though; Chocolate, kale, and tea, oh, plus a couple of locally grown, organic strawberries.

Here's my route:
I <3 LOVE <3 riding my bicycle!
Here it is:
It is a used Fuji hybrid (handlebar came from a Trek, though). I bought it used at The Devil's Gear for $300 in summer of 2011 (photo is from 2011, which is why it says "My New Bike", even though I've had it for nearly 2 years now). Now that I am without a car, that $300 is proving a very worthy investment.
I find I can get around the city faster on my bicycle that in a car, in most cases. Plus, of course, it's healthier.
There are many bike lanes and paths in my city. We need more bike racks, though. You can get around okay, but you can't always find somewhere to lock your bike. Also, they need to clean the broken glass and stuff out of the streets better/more often (and people need to litter less).

They start you off with this parched corn. It's crunchy/salty goodness.
They serve it with this very tasty sauce, kind of spicy and creamy.
Next I had "Sopa Chilcano". The menu says "fish soup with clams", but it had mussels, not clams. Still, very nice.
And, finally, pescado frito (fried, whole red snapper), con ensaladas y yucca (and un platito de frijoles, not pictured).
I'm stuff.
I always leave Machu Picchu quite satisfied.
I listened to músicas peruanas (and a little reggaeton, blech), and was attended by an adorable muchacha costariquense, too.
